1. Mom, I just saw a TikTok of you boarding a flight.
2. Which TikTok are you talking about?
3. You were in seat 12A smiling into the camera.
4. I can explain.
5. My ex is in the aisle seat holding your hand.
6. Your ex? Which one?
7. Sam, and he looked like he was comforting you.
8. I promised I'd tell you later, not like this.
9. Later makes it sound like this was planned with me.
10. It's complicated, nothing like the video suggests.
11. He was wiping your tears and laughing quietly.
12. He was helping because you wouldn't believe what happened.
13. What happened, Mom? You left without telling me.
14. Sam found something about your father we had to see.
15. What did he find about Dad?
16. A box of letters and a name we've never heard.
17. You left town secretly with the man who hurt me?
18. He hurt you then, but now he's the only lead.
19. So you boarded a plane with my ex to follow clues?
20. Yes, and he stayed because I panicked at security.
21. Panicked how, Mom? This is ridiculous.
22. I had an attack when I opened one of the letters.
23. What did the letter say?
24. Check my TikTok DMs; there’s a voice note I couldn't send here.
